AI SEO services that get your brand named in AI answers
Your buyers still use Google. They also ask ChatGPT which software to pick, ask Perplexity to compare three agencies, and read the AI Overview at the top of the results before they decide whether to click anything at all.
If those answers name your competitors and not you, you're losing deals you never knew were on the table. AI SEO is the work that changes that.
What usually brings people here:
- A competitor gets recommended in ChatGPT and you don't
- Organic clicks are down even though rankings look stable
- AI Overviews answer your main questions using someone else's content
- Nobody on your team knows how to measure AI visibility
What AI search optimization involves
AI search tools work differently from a list of ten blue links. Instead of ranking pages, they read sources, pull out facts and write an answer. Sometimes they cite where the answer came from. Sometimes they name brands as recommendations.
To show up, your brand needs three things:
- Pages that AI systems can read, trust and quote. Clear structure, direct answers and accurate facts.
- Signals that you're a known, credible entity. Consistent information about who you are and what you do, across your site and the wider web.
- Mentions on the sources AI tools draw from. Reviews, comparison articles, industry publications, forums and directories.
My AI SEO services cover all three through two connected disciplines: answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization.
Answer engine optimization (AEO)
AEO is about winning the direct answer. That covers featured snippets, "People also ask" boxes, voice search results and the citations inside Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode.
The work focuses on your content. I restructure pages so the answer to each key question appears early and clearly, add FAQ sections built around real search queries, implement structured data, and make sure your pages are the cleanest source for the question at hand.

Generative engine optimization (GEO)
GEO is about being named. When someone asks an AI tool for a recommendation, it builds a shortlist from what it knows and what it can find. GEO is the work of getting onto that list.
This part leans more on brand and off-site work: making your entity information consistent, earning mentions in roundups and comparisons, building presence on review platforms and community sites, and creating content that models are likely to cite.

Why AI SEO builds on regular SEO
There's a lot of noise about AI search replacing SEO. In practice, it doesn't work that way. Google's AI Overviews pull heavily from pages that already rank well. ChatGPT search and Perplexity use web search results to find sources. If your site is slow, poorly structured or thin, it's unlikely to be cited anywhere.
So I don't sell AI SEO as a separate trick. It's the same foundation of technical health, strong content and real authority, with extra work aimed at how AI systems choose sources and brands. A good AI SEO agency should be strong at regular SEO first.
That's also why I'm wary of anyone promising guaranteed placement in ChatGPT. Nobody controls what a language model says. What you can do is make your brand the easiest, most credible choice for it to mention.
How I measure AI visibility
You can't improve what you don't track, and AI visibility is still new enough that most companies have no idea where they stand.
I build a list of the buying prompts your customers are likely to use, things like "best payroll software for small restaurants" or "who does roof repairs in Tampa," and track how AI tools answer them. Each month I record:
- Whether your brand is mentioned
- Whether your site is cited as a source
- Which competitors are named instead
- How the answer describes you, and whether it's accurate
- Which sources the AI tool relied on
That last point is often the most useful. If ChatGPT keeps citing the same three review sites and you're not on any of them, you know exactly where to focus.
The higher-tier plans on the pricing page include AI visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews as standard.
What ChatGPT SEO and AI Overview work looks like
A few examples of the actual tasks involved:
- Rewriting the opening of key pages so they answer the main question in two or three sentences
- Adding comparison tables, pricing ranges and specific numbers that models like to quote
- Building out an "About" page and author pages that make it clear who's behind the business
- Adding Organization, Product, Service and FAQ schema
- Getting listed on the review platforms and directories AI tools cite in your industry
- Pitching your company for inclusion in "best of" lists on trusted publications
- Fixing outdated or wrong information about your business on third-party sites
- Making sure AI crawlers aren't accidentally blocked in your robots.txt
Each task is fairly small on its own. Over a few months they add up.
Who AI SEO matters most for
AI tools are already a meaningful research channel for:
- SaaS and software companies, where buyers ask for tool recommendations and comparisons
- Fintech and insurance, where people ask for explanations before they trust a provider
- Healthcare and med spas, where patients research treatments in detail first
- Professional services, like agencies, consultants and law firms
- E-commerce brands in categories where shoppers ask for "the best" product
Local service businesses benefit too, especially as Google's AI answers increasingly appear for local questions.

AI SEO questions
Is AI SEO different from regular SEO?
It builds on it. Regular SEO is the base. AI SEO adds work focused on how AI tools pick sources and recommend brands.
How long does it take to appear in AI answers?
AI Overview citations can change within weeks of content updates. Brand recommendations in ChatGPT and similar tools usually take longer, often three to six months, because they depend on mentions across the web.
Can you guarantee my brand will be recommended?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. I can improve your chances and show you the data each month.
Should I block AI crawlers?
For most businesses that want customers, no. Blocking them makes it less likely you'll be cited.
